Research Abstract

新規な磁気光学効果を有すると考えられる、透明かつキラル構造を有する分子磁性体の構築研究を進めた。前年度までに、不斉三重項安定ラジカルとマンガンイオンの自己集合組織化によって一次元キラル磁性体の構築に成功した。このとき、結晶全体をキラル構造にするために、安定ラジカルの不斉炭素による不斉誘導を用いた。今年度はこの不斉誘導の考えを拡張し、より高次元の転移温度の高い磁性体が得られやすい、プルシアンブルー誘導体に応用した。すなわち、不斉ジアンミン誘導体を配位させたマンガン(II)イオンと、ヘキサシアノクロム(III)イオンを混合し、結晶化させることにより、透明かつキラル構造を有するTC=53K及びTC=38Kの錯体の構築に成功した。これらの錯体の構造、磁性を詳細に調べ、それぞれ、三次元、二次元のキラル構造を有し、マンガンイオンのスピンとクロムイオンのスピンがフェリ磁性的に相互作用した、キラルフェリ磁性体であることを突き止めた。
