Research Abstract

計画は、18.9nm 縦励起TCENi-Mo軟X線レーザーの研究の本格化、具体的には1)先端的軟X線及びX線分光学的手法を駆使し、開発中のコードの高度化を図る。2)18.9nm Ni-Moレーザーの増幅に実験的に成功し、スキームを実証する事である。成果として1)200fs発振器をベースにパルス幅450fs、エネルギー500mJという出力を実現し、かつ極めてクリーン(コントラスト比>10^6以上が可能)でパルスパラメーター制御が可能なチタンサファイヤーガラスシステムを開発した。2)シミュレーションの高度化を進め、フェムト秒からピコ秒生成プラズマを記述するPICコードやHYADESプラズマ生成伝播コード等を導入し、実験結果をほぼ再現できるまでの高度化を行った。3)短パルス化、高コントラスト化、ビームの高品質化に伴い、レーザーと固体プラズマ界面における高次高調波の生成研究を段と進め、高次高調波の空間発散角の精密測定、偏光の違いによる高調波変換効率の依存性とその物理的メカニズムの解明、ダブルパルスによるプラズマ制御における高次高調波の増強、光強度2×10^<17>W/cm^2における新しいメカニズムによる高次高調波の生成と、高調波のブルーシフトの発見等という新しい展開を得ることができた。4)軟X線レザーでは、18.9nmNi-Mo線スペクトルにおける高指向性高輝度増幅の実証である。300psのプレパルスにより2mm長Moターゲット上に高密度プレプラズマを生成させ、適当な遅延時間の後に475fsの高強度主励起光をターゲット表面から0.1〜O.2mmの位置に制御打ち込むことにより、最小励起エネルギー150mJで発散角(横200-300μrad、縦1mrad)というきわめて高品質の高輝度レーザースポットを得ることができた。ある程度の最適化条件を測定しシミュレーションとの比較を行った。以上の結果はTEC縦励起軟X線レーザーのきわめて高い潜在性を示す最初の実験的観測でもある。
