1.Virtual space system high-speed network transmission research It succeeded in the basic experiment using the high-speed network between National Institute of Multimedia Education, the Communications Research Laboratory (Tokyo), and the Keihanna information communication fusion research center (Kyoto) for remote educational application. And the mutual connection of high presence system in different places using a high-speed network and the remote cooperation study system which shared 3D-CG space and the 3D-CG model was examined. 2.Development of virtual space applied research (1)Development and evaluation of high presence skill study teaching materials For the research using the virtual environmental system of the linguistic educational technique, the parameter was set up according to screen composition and picture output composition, the prototype of the teaching materials for skill learning was developed. And 3-dimensional visualization of the solar wind space distribution obtained by interplanetary space scintillation observation was examined and realized. In order to promote an understanding of the action of abstract notions and programs for an object-oriented program, the programming environment using virtual reality technology was designed, the visualizing method which expresses the succession relation of a class with form was devised, and fundamental contents were developed. Furthermore, audiblization was developed, visualization and the audible programming environment were fixed, and the subject experiment was conducted. 3.Evaluation Research (1)Physiological Evaluation in Virtual Space In order that the reality of images might evaluate the physiological influence of an understanding of students, or degree of concentration and fatigue, the detection/evaluation technique of physiological influence was examined. And the experiment equipment for detection/evaluation of physiological influence was introduced, and the basic experiment was conducted. And the Hi-Vision video was edited simply, and improvement. Moreover the system which presents three dimensional audio by many channels synchronizing with video was built. (2)Mental Evaluation in Virtual Space The detection/evaluation technique of mental influence was examined, and the system for acquiring the basic data of center-of-gravity movement was developed. From the 3 sides of the human being of feeling, action and cognition, in order that virtual space might evaluate the psychological influence to human, about the influence of the number of screens, and the influence of the movement frequency of a stimulus image, the measuring method of "presence" of a multiple display system was completed mostly, and it contributed to the journal after subject experiment data collection.
