Research Abstract

本課題では超高速で生じる光誘起現象、とりわけ固体中の不可逆な光誘起現象の過渡的振る舞いを明らかにできる分光法の開発をめざした。また興味ある光誘起現象を示す物質を探索し、開発した分光法によりその物性解明を行った。本課題で構築した分光法は、1.シングルショット過渡吸収分光法、2.光カーゲート時間分解発光分光法、3.光サンプリング過渡回折分光法の三種類である。
1においては、ゲート光と時間を数ピコ秒に拡大した単色のプローブ光とをカー媒質上で角度を付けて線状に絞り込むことにより光学系を構築した。HITCI色素の吸収のブリーチングを観測したところ、250フェムト秒間隔の分子振動をレーザパルス〜100ショットの積算で明瞭に観測できた。しかしながら当初目的の1ショットではSNの良いデータの取得はできなかった。今後プローブ光を白色光にし時間及びスペクトル情報を瞬時に計測できるシステムにするとともに、1ショットにおいてもSNの良いデータ取得ができるように改良を加える必要がある。
2においては、高屈折ガラスをカー媒質として用いることにより、時間分解能〜200フェムト秒の光カーゲート時間分解発光分光法を立ち上げた。この方法により、ベータカロチンおよびZnOエピタキシャル薄膜中に光励起された電子-正孔プラズマ状態からの時間分解発光スペクトルの測定に成功した。
3においては、繰り返し周波数のわずかに異なる2台のフェムト秒レーザを用いて光サンプリング過渡回折分光法を構築し、サブピコ秒から数ナノ秒までの広い時間範囲にわたって、GaAs量子井戸の励起子の位相緩和、エネルギー緩和、スピン緩和を同一のシステムで捉えることに成功した。
この他に、ハロゲン架橋白金錯体における一次元励起子の波束の運動の観測、フォトクロミック化合物の光構造変化の動的過程の観測、ヘテロ環状ラジカル結晶における磁気双安定性の光制御を行った。
