Research Abstract |
Simulation and experimental studies are carried out for developing the reproducing method of traffic accident by use of driving simulator. It is confirmed that physiological drivability is declined in the situation in which the vehicle performance is not declined. In the danger avoidance experiment by use of driving simulator, we get the similar data to that in the real vehicle experiment, and the danger avoidance performance is improved by proposing the new steering assist device. We also evaluate the driving mode switch system with eye-mark recorder and develop the manipulation of the Joy Stick vehicle, assuming the welfare vehicle for the disabled. Making the relation between the amount of Joy Stick angle and the wheel angle dependent on the vehicle's velocity and non-linear improves the drivability.
