Research Abstract |
For understanding of physiological functions or sports dynamics, it is quite useful to integrate several observed image data and numerical models. However, there are several problems to manipulate such data by computer especially in cases of targets difficult to describe their structure and/or involving complex motion. So we have developing a data capturing system for this purpose, easy procedure to obtain 3D motion data from multi-camera observation, and integrated presentation of 3D dynamic data with assumed model. Newly designed recording system demonstrated capturing ability for image sequence with several related time series signals, then image analysis is performed with reference signals. A two-camera system using color markers isalso constructed to obtain human 3D motion, and designed a convenient procedure to get normalized 3D image sequence with reasonable image quality by two-camera system without exact camera calibration. By preparing digital human model, we have developed numerical sports simulation system and we can get several quantitative evaluations on the kick motion of football. Dynamic analysis of javelin throw has been also started and the fusion of 3D observation and computer simulation is in the next step. For the case of clinical evaluation of heart, we have developed an interactive 3D display system where functional informations from SPECT are superposed on 3D morphological description from MRI. We have succeeded to demonstrate the efficiency of integrated processing of fluorescent X-ray CT with transmission or Compton scattering X-ray CT by using synchrotron radiation X-ray to evaluate distribution of specific materials in human organ. We have also gotten several progresses in optical and ultrasound imaging, image-processing procedures to establish our project including a few discussions on usages of such 3D image data under computer network circumstances.
