Research Abstract |
We discovered DXS10011 as a X-chromosome specific single copy marker, Yfm1 as a Y-chromosome specific multi-copy marker, DYS441, DYS442, DYS443, DYS44 and DYS445 as Y-chromosome specific single copy markers. These markers were developed for personal identification and paternity testing from forensic specimens and applied on several cases. We obtained good resolution on those cases using these markers developed on this research project.
