Research Abstract |
This study aims to explain Life-course and Professinal Development of Teachers in Primary and Secondary Schools. I investigate three issues : a) what kinds of event tend to occur to cause a turning points in teachers life-course ; b) when a turning point turns up in one's life-course ; and, c) in what situations it is apt to come about. We adopt two means of the resolution : Questionnaire survey and Interview Survey. In conclusion, the next two points are very important ; (1) A Professinal Development of Teachers is not "vertical" development, but "horizontal, or alternative" development. (2) A Professinal Competency of Teachers is not "de-contextualty" competency, but "indexicality" competency. We must change the understanding of Professinal Development and Competency of Teachers.
