Research Abstract |
This study considers some roles of NPOs such as organizations for community building or those for volunteer activities, and also the regional policies of local governments. The conclusions are based on answers to a questionnaire completed by NPOs and local governments, from the perspective of publicservice activities by NPOs playing an important role in the process of buildig well-organized communities from now on. It was determined that the enactment of support-type NPO ordinances at tha local government level is important in order to strengthen the regional power. These ordinances will support NPO activities and help to develop them into third-sector organizations.
