Research Abstract |
1. 2015th bicycle-riding demand modeling based on transportation demand management TDM consideration. According to our 1999, 2000 year research which is on population structure change from 2000 now to 2015 population expected, TDM needed for walking, cycling, publicly running bus-services-using is introduced for selected for this research city Okazaki transportation planning. 2. To promote future bicycle riding, what the city's government will have to take into their policy structure, rental public bicycle, seamless ride-exchange system from bicycle to rail, facilitating bicycle pool and so on are argued and proposed. 3. The distances between railway-stations are generally important factors to decide most responsible who will have to facilitate bicycle pool, bus terminal and so on, if its short, no need to facilitate anything. But if it's longer, railway companies should facilitate something, bike pools before station, bus terminals, park-and-ride or kiss-and-ride spaces, for their users, because of their reduction of station setting. 4. Social costs both long-run tern and short-run term brought about by dangerous bicycle parking violation are estimated on the basic concept of opportunity cost. 5. Total regional future demand of bicycle riding are estimated in total future regional transportation demand in the case of city Okazaki. 6. Bicycle own lane, parking space to facilitate are considered into total TDM with down-town renovation policy.
