Research Abstract |
The main purpose of this project has been established. The equipment has been successfully developed and it is working well. From the results of analysis using obtained data, the factors affecting the thermal conductivity measured by present system have been clarified, which were convection, radiation and electron conductivity for ionic slag melt. In high temperature region more than 800℃, a contribution of radiation on the apparent thermal conductivity was significant. Moreover, it was found that the radiation energy from the thermocouple (Pt) affected the measurement of thermal diffusivity, especially for the transparent stag. The effect of radiation was eliminated by theoretical calculation and reasonable values have been obtained.
