Research Abstract |
Materials of this study were Aluminium Potassium Sulfate 12-Water and Potassium Dihydrogenphosphate. The rates of crystal growth have been measured in fluidization beds, fixed beds and stationary system with a fluidization bed. In the fluidization beds, the automatic measurement of crystal size distribution has been tried by the use of the superficial velocities and the bed pressure drops. The automatic system has been applied by means of the AD transformation board(AZI-3104 INTERFACE Co.)of the flow meter(LF-610, PAC-D1 STEC Co., LM10 ZZT, LM05 ZZT KENIS Co.)and the pressure drop sensor(SE-49 MTEC Lab, Co.)with a personal computer. The automatic system has not been entirely successful under the unsatisfactory of the digitalization of the flow rate. The rate of the crystal growth in the fixed beds was measured by the technique of a wire netting touched a seed crystal in the fluidization bed. The crystal growth rate in the stationary system was measured by the seed crystal hanging in a vessel. The rate of the fluidization beds was greater from 5 to 20 times than that of the fixed beds or the stationary system on the same supersaturated solution. The rate in the fluidization beds was like an exponent curve.
