Research Abstract |
1 HB-EGF was expressed in synovial fibroblasts from rheumatoid and osteoarthritis patients in addition to synovial macrophages by the analysis of RT-PCR and in situ hybridization using HB-EGF antisense RNA probe. 2 Raji cells transfected with HB-EGF did not affect the apoptosis of Jurkat cells, compared to the wild type Raji cells. However, Heparan sulfate but no chondroitin sulfate inhibited the apoptosis of Jurkat cells, suggesting the inhibitory effect of heparan sulfate binding substance on the apoptosis of Jurkat cells.
