Research Abstract |
An HTML-based teaching file had been constructed to enrich and make efficient the education for image diagnosis. In this research, the teaching file was improved in the following way. 1. Construction and application of film library system. Clinical images for the patients was put into the "film library system" and was managed under the new data base system. 2. Improvement of the teaching file Based on the monitoring by undergraduates, general pracitioners and radiologists, the teaching file itself was improved as follows ; digital input of the histopathological images, online observation through the intranet, evaluation of the image quality through the LCD display, evaluation of the relationship between image size and quality, online evaluation through the phone-line and internet, offline distribution of the teaching file by CD-ROM, and trial distribution of the teaching file by DVD-RAM. 3. Application of portable document format (PDF) To help comprehending new imaging technologies, limited topics such as "three dimensional display by CT" were put into PDF files and distributed through the WWW page.
