Research Abstract |
We bought a Lapix7007 and took some X-ray panoramic pictures. We could clearly observe bleached white bones or charred conditions of children or adults. We obtained satisfactory images for diagnosis, including filling materials, prosthetic materials, teeth and cavities, as well as personal identification. We made digital radiography on Lapix7007. X-rays read by the CCD sensor of a film cassette are quickly displayed on the computer. Development and fixation aren't required. Image processing such as magnification, reduction, rotation and density-contrast is easy to do. Additionally, the X-ray exposed dose can be decreased. We could send the dental data (dental chart and dental X-ray films) by Internet. Superimposition of antemortem and postmortem dental ragiographs was successed. It would assist with investigating victims more quickly and accurately, especially, in large scale disasters. We expect the Lapix 7007 to be used routinely in postmortem investigations.
