Research Abstract |
The purpose of the present study is to attempt to prepare the topographic-scale climatological maps, using the municipality data, new established meteorological observation data and landform (land cover) informations. Two objective districts are selected, one is Sendai (coastal area), the other is Toshin district (inland area). Sendai District: Sea breeze and valley wind distribution and their effects on temperature in summer calm days are clarified, using the data of municipality environmental stations and new established wind observations. In the western valley site, there are the case in which valley wind starts with sea breeze of coastal area almost simultaneously and the case in which the sea breeze reaches behind 1-2 hours. Toshin District: Valley wind distribution in summer calm days are clarified, using the data of municipalities data. As a result, valley wind along the Chikumagawa River is 2 hours behind the valley wind up to mountain slope. On daily maximum and daily minimum temperature, multiple regression analysis was done in three synoptic conditions, in respect of the altitude and the proportions of land cover such as forest and urban area of 17 stations. As a result, the mesh maps of air temperature distribution are completed. As a whole, it was shown that to make topographic-scales climatological maps such as temperature distribution or wind system was sufficiently possible, using the municipality data, establishing small number of observation site for 1 year and appropriately arranging the climatological data in the every synoptic conditions.
