Research Abstract |
This study aims to obtain some guides for designing new type of compression clothing that feels comfort while worn. We clarified the influence of compression clothing on human body in terms of physiology, psychology, and physics using support type of pantyhose and racing swimsuit as compression clothing. The obtained results were as follows : 1. Difference in the compressive properties of different kinds of pantyhose fabrics was clarified by cylindrical-elongation experiments and wearing tests. 2. Difference in surface roughness property of different kinds of pantyhose fabrics was clarified by cylindrical model experiments and wearing tests. 3. The comfortable and critical clothing pressure values on the thigh, calf and ankle were clarified. 4. Aesthetic-covering effects of ordinary fine pantyhose and spot-cover foundation on the scar and its objective evaluation methods used image analysis were clarified. 5. Effects of trial support type pantyhose on swelling of lower legs, fatigue (reaction time and flicker value), compressive feeling, and compressive comfort, were clarified. 6. Effects of trial pantyhose on skin blood flow, skin temperature, heart rate and oral temperature were clarified. 7. Effects of the clothing pressure exerted on a trunk by swimsuit on heart rate, skin blood flow and respiratory function were clarified.
