Research Abstract

The purpose of this report is to study the scientific concept of family relationships education in home economics education in France.
The main method of examination is to analyze the content of a textbook : "Vie sociale et familiale" for "lycee" .
The main results are as follows.
1. In the introduction a concept of family is provided and a diversification of family life style and its cause is explained.
2. Contents of family relationships education is extensive knowledge of social sciences and natural sciences on family and social life.
3. Purposes of family relationships education are to form scientific cognition on family and social life and human development and to solve problems on consumption with the best decision-making and value judgment.
The scientific concept of educational contents is base of social science and it is connected with living concepts of learner as a sovereign.
