Research Abstract |
The following four research items are the result and outcome of the proposed research. (1) Design and Operation of Repository for Internet Traffic Data The repository system has to be secure and preserve the privacy of the users, associated with the evaluated traffic data. In the research, the repository has been developed and practically operated. (2) Traffic Analysis for Root DNS Server The traffic pattern at one of the root DNS server (i.e., M-Root Server in Japan) has been captured and analyzed. The analysis informs that the access from non-Asian country is larger then from Asian countries. (3) Label number evaluation for label switch system Using the actual traffic data, the required number of labels in the Internet is evaluated. The novel method is proposed and evaluated using the actual traffic data. (4) Traffic analysis for Digital Video transmission in teleconference system over IP Digital video data transmission using the IPSec function has been evaluated using the actual network.
