Research Abstract |
In the fiscal year 2000, we have written up the following three papers, the results of which have been obtained in the experiments carried out in the past year. The first one has already been printed, and the others are presently in press. (1) Complete optical spectrum of liquid water H.Hayashi, N.Watanabe, Y.Udagawa, and C.-C.Kao Proc.Natl.Acad.Sci. 97, 6264-6266(2000). (2) Momentum dependence of π-π^* excitations of benzene rings in condensed phases Hisashi Hayashi, Noboru Watanabe, Yasuo Udagawa, and Chi-Chang Kao J Electron Spectrosc. in press. (3) Chemical Applications of Inelastic X-ray Scattering H.Hayashi, Y.Udagawa, J.-M.Gillet, and C.-C.Kao in Chemical Application of Synchrotron Radiation, T.-K.Sham ed., World Scienctifc, in press. Coincidence experiments between X-rays and laser light have been carried out at the wiggler beam the X21 of Brookhaven National Laobratory between Feb.19 th and Mar.14 th. Analyses of the results are now in progress.
