| Research Abstract |
Research on bio-related polymeric materials, such as nucleic acid(DNA and RNA), peptide, protein, polysaccharide, lipid, has developed extensively in resent years. However, the each research fields for these materials have their own world, and their mutual exchange and colaborations are not popular so far. Very fine functional materials would be found between their field or in their conjugated fields. We intended to prepare novel bioconjugate by the contact discussion and colaboration of Japanese and German researchers on various biorelated polymers.
As a result, following researches have been carried out.
1. Preparation of DNA-chitosan bilayer membrane for surgecal use.
2. Basic research on syntehsis of glycopeptide and glycoprotein.
3. Insolubilization of DNA by UV-irradiation.
4. Preparation of DNA-collagen bioconjugate.
