Research Abstract

高温酸化物超伝導体は低温金属超伝導体に比較し運転温度が高いので冷却のためのコストが少なく,交流電気機器への応用が期待されている.しかし,交流応用の実用化のためには,高い線材電流密度を維持しながら一層の交流損失低減が必要である.交流損失には線材のミクロ的な構造が大きく関わることに着目し,本研究は,日欧で共同して(1)超伝導体の交流損失側定法の評価を行い,よって,(2)線材のミクロ構造と交流損失との関係を定量的に把握し,大幅な低交流損失化を実現するための高温超伝導線材のミクロ構造設計法について研究を行うことを目的としている.さらに,(3)日欧の交流応用機器開発および交流損失に関する研究の動向を調査し,今後の本分野における研究方針を明らかにすることも目的としている.
本年度は本研究の最終年度であり,本研究の成果のまとめを以下に示す.
(1)交流損失の評価法:交流損失の評価にはナノボルトレベルの交流電圧を正確に測定する必要があり,混入してくる種々の雑音の原因の同定とその排除法の研究が重要である.日欧の研究機関における測定上のノウハウに関する情報交換を行い測定精度を高めることができた.
(2)交流損失の低減手法:Bi系線材に関し,交流損失低減の鍵となるマルチフィラメント化とフィラメント間の電磁結合抑制法について,特にバリア線材に関してその開発課題を明らかにし今後の研究開発の方向性について知見を得た.さらにY系線材についても交流損失低減に適した線材構造について検討を行い,YBCO薄膜の細分化が有効であるとの結論を得た.また新しい超伝導材料MgBo2の応用の可能性についても検討した.
交流損失に関する研究動向:2000年10月に本研究代表者が実行委員長となり横浜国立大学で超伝導体の交流損失に関する国際WSを開催し,その中で本研究計画参加者も含め日米欧における交流応用機器の開発動向,交流損失の低減法および評価法についての情報交換を行うとともに本研究課題に関わる成果の発表を行った.
