Research Abstract |
IN THIS RESEARCH PROJECT, A SYSTEM TO CONNECT CAD AND RAPID PROTOTYPING EQUIPMENT THROUGH THE INTERNET WAS DEVELOPED. THE DEVELOPED METHODOLOGY CAN BE EASILY EXTENDED TO REMOTE LABORATORY ACTIVITIES. A REMOTE LABORATORY EXPERIMENT WAS CARRIED OUT SUCCESSFULLY BETWEEN STANFORD UNIVERSITY AND JAPAN. SUCH A CLOSED LOOP SYSTEM WILL IMMEDIATELY REFLECT THE CUSTOMER'S TASTE SO THAT A KANSEI-BASED CAD SYSTEM WAS ALSO DEVELOPED.
