Research Abstract

Progress and developmennt of reacent dental implant were observed remarkably during last twe to three decade years introducing two step technic with root form implant to get good osseointegration. The survival rate of each implant system was around 90% even though limited systems only showed the long term results of implant survival and cervical born resorption around implant.
The porpose of this study is to develop the cinical indication and improve its success late using newly developeant porous-coated implant. This study was carried out keeping international cooperation amoung three resarch institute groopes, namely this study group, surported by Grant-in-Aid for Scientific Research・JAPAN (Nihon University), Prof.D.A.Deporter'group (University of Toronto, CANADA) and Dr.D.S.Sohn'grope (Taege Hyosung Catholic University Hospital, KOREA).
Following results were obtained.
(1) A number of follow up clinical study of porous-coated implant (ENDO-PORE IMPLANT) increased up to 240 cases.
(2) As prof.Deperter proporsed new technic "Simplefying Management of the Posterior Max illa Using Shot, Porous-Surfaced Dental Implants and Stimultaneous Indirect Sinus Elevation", head investgater Dr.T.Saito carried out the interpreatation of the paper, and printed it on PRO-Japanese Edition (July, 2000. Quintessence Japan)
(3) As prof.N.Meredith reported new prognostic for initial stability of implant, titled "Assesment of Implant Stability as Prognostic Determination" (International J.Prothodont. 1998.5.), head investgater Dr.T.Saito carried out the interpreatation of the paper, and sent it for print on I.J.Implant japanese edition (May, 2001. Quintessence Japan)
(4) Head Investgater Dr.T.Saito visited to Taegu Catholic Hospital with two cooparator and discussed present problems such as a new thechnic of implantation immediate after tooth extraction and or imediate loading after implantation.
