Research Abstract

半導体自然超格子のユニークな特徴を利用した新しいタイプの電子スピン生成と緩和過程の制御を実現するために研究を発展させてオーダーパラメターでスピン緩和に関係するバンド構造を任意に制御するとを目指した。超格子構造によるエネルギーバンド構造の変化はBrillouinゾーン全体にわたっていていることがこれまでの我々の分光研究を中心に明らかになってきた。これらのバンド構造はオーダーパラメターによって連続的に変化し、スピン分極状態の連続的な制御の可能性を明らかにできた。具体的な成果は以下のとおりである。
(a)様々なオーダパラメターを有する半導体自然超格子を用いて超高速光パルスを用いてスピン偏極電子の生成を行い、オーダーパラメターで制御されたスピン偏極状態が得られることを実証した。
(b)分離した価電子帯構造とスピン緩和特性の関連を明らかにした。
(c)価電子帯での相互作用をオーダパラメターで制御することにより、オーダリングによる自在なスピン緩和特性の制御の可能性を確認できた。
