Research Abstract

高温、原子直視型の2条件を満たす粒界すべりの観察をすることが、本研究の目的である。具体的に行った研究は以下の通りである。
(1)申請者の考案し開発した方法により、電子顕微鏡内で高温で粒界すべりを起こした。その過程を、原子直視的にその場で観察し、高温粒界すべりの機構を原子レベルで解明した。
(2)原子レベルでみた個々の粒界すべりと巨視的にみた超塑性変形とを関連させて理解した。
(3)粒界すべりのときのクラックの発生と伝搬を観察し、微細粒材料変形時の破壊の機構を原子レベルで調査した。既存の非超塑性材料を超塑性化する研究指針を得ることを試みた。
(4)平均粒径、粒界非晶質相の構造や厚さなどの因子と粒界すべり機構との関係を明らかにした。粒界すべりの時の空隙の発生と成長、クラックの伝搬過程を調べた。
粒界すべりの原子過程を初めて実験的にとらえることに成功した。
