Research Abstract

TyrrellやWillshawの小脳のネットワークモデルで使われているニューロンモデルは線形閾値素子である.そのため,彼らのモデルは時間的加重について考慮されていない.これまでに構築した我々のモデルは時間的加重を考慮したHodgkin-Huxley型モデルで構築されている.このモデルを利用することによってMarr-Albus仮説を示すことを目指した.顆粒細胞の出力パターンが時間情報をコードするばかりでなく,空間情報もコードしていることを示すために,これまでに構築した理論モデルに苔状線維や小脳糸球体を加えた.そして,苔状線維を加えても顆粒層の同期発火活動が維持されることを確認した.この同期発火活動によって再現よく顆粒細胞集団が時間情報をコードすることが示唆された.この成果をFENS2012で発表した.また,この理論モデルは入力の強さに依存して,時間情報が変化することを予想した.動物実験を用いてこの予想が正しいことが示唆された.この成果をSfN2012やNeuro2012,JNNS2012で発表した.
我々は小脳が時間情報ばかりでなく,運動の大きさを制御していると考えている.この仮説を示すために前庭動眼反射の適応学習に関する動物実験を示す理論モデルを作成した.また,小脳が関わるこの制御についてのさらなる知見を得るため,東京医科歯科大学の協力を得て,プリズム適応に関する心理実験を計画し,検査システムや解析法を開発した.このシステムは現在特許申請中である.私が開発した解析法により健常者と小脳萎縮症の患者を感度よく識別することに成功した.この成果をNeuro2012で発表し,3月のANN2013で発表予定である.ここで得られたデータを基にして,理論モデルを作成した.
以上,これらの理論モデルを統合し,未だ制御方法が確立していない人工筋肉の制御へ応用する準備を進めた.
