Research Abstract

本研究では、「ストライプ」相や擬一次元スピン梯子系などに注目し,それぞれの電荷秩序の集団的電気伝導を捉えることを目的として以下の研究を行った.
1)ストライプ相La2-x-yNdySrxCuO4系では、詳細な追試によっても、マイクロ波ではその集団ダイナミクスを捉えることができなかった.
2)スピン梯子系Sr14Cu24041系ではマイクロ波領域の電気伝導度に共鳴構造を見出した.
3)2)に対応して、弱いながら、明瞭な非線形伝導をラダー方向に観測した.しかし,非線形伝導とマイクロ波伝導の定量的な検討の結果,従来CDW系で知られているような関係には合致しないことがわかった.これらのことから,Sr14Cu24041では,強相関電子系特有の新しい電荷秩序の集団運動が捉えられたものと考える.
4)Caを置換したらマイクロ波伝導や非線形伝導がどのようになるかを調べた.その結果,マイクロ波領域の共鳴は消失し,非線形伝導も定量的にまったく異なったものとなった.このことは、3)で結論した秩序状態というのが低キャリヤ濃度に特徴的なものであるとを示唆する.このことから,スピン梯子系では一次元ウィグナー結晶ができており,それが集団的に電気伝導に寄与していると考えられる.4)これらの研究を通じで様々な電気伝導度の大きさの物質においてマイクロ波伝導度をいかにして正確に評価するかという研究をおこなった.その途上で,アンモニアをドープしたフラーレン系で初めて,電気伝導度を評価することに成功し、この系の超伝導性の消失がアンモニア置換による対称性の低下によりもたらされたモット転移であるということを明らかにした.
5)4)に関連して、従来のマイクロ波伝導度を求める表式の問題点を指摘し、それを解決すべく、マイクロ波伝導度を求める新たな実験解析用の表式を提案した.
