Research Abstract |
In this present research, preservation of stone structures coexisting with the civic life, its repair and restoration by means of historical study were carried out. Results of based on the stability law and outlined as follows: (1) Historical and empirical study on Osaka Castle masonry wall at Tokugawa period (2) Shape of Japanese castle's masonry wall and its numerical evaluation (3) Castle masonry walls from viewpoint of cross-sectional shape (4) Stability of Japanese Castle Masonry Wall and its assessment during reconstruction (5) Geotechnical characteristics of ancient soil structures (6) Historical change of structure of stone burial chamber in ancient mud (7) The theory of modern river-control in the Yodo river--Case study on block-made sluiceway in Oyamazaki (8) Historical value evaluation, presentation and utilization of Minatogawa Zuidou (9) Birth and its development of the stone technology of granite (10) Fundamental research on maintenance, preservation, and repair of castle masonry wall
