Research Abstract |
In this study, theories on mix proportion and performance development mechanism of concrete containing large quantity of coal ash which have been shown by the investigators of this research project were experimented and checked. Many results were confirmed on this concrete, for example, as follows. 1. The greater the coal ash content of concrete with constant cement content, the lower the pore volume over the diameter of 50 nm, although the total pore volume was equal. As result, the compressive strength of concrete became higher. 2. The relation between the amount of mixing water and void volume composed of powder affected to the consistency of fresh concrete. The greater the former, the greater the consistency, because the free water was left over.
