Research Abstract |
For the forthcoming progressive aging society, an improvement in quality of the elderly's living environment is most important theme for our Japan. Among these, an improvement of healing and recuperation environment of the long term care unit in hospital ward is also the important subjects. According to these points of view, some thorough investigation works targeting on the typical long term hospital wards were carried out and the methods for architectural planning and design for long term care unit were discussed. Among this series of study and investigation works, following subjects were accomplished. 1) Studies for the space composition for the long-term care unit of the hospital wards from the viewpoint of inpatients1 daily living activities 2) The typology studies for the stereotype ^of the inpatients from the viewpoint of their ADL and basic attribution. 3) Analysis for the nursing activities and consideration for the space composition of staff base. 4) The development study on the models of architectural planning of the long term care hospital ward.
