Research Abstract

This research described the evaluation method of the electric kiln which was able to be baked by reduction. The evaluation method is a baking mechanism and a quantitative evaluation method.
The effectiveness of the proposal-baking pattern was confirmed by the baking experiment and the surface observation in this research period. Moreover, the colorimeter measured color values of the gas kiln and the decompression electricity kiln. The content of the research executed in the research period is concretely shown as follows.
1. Baking experiment in decompression electric kiln In the baking experiment of pottery, the test pieces and teacups were baked by the oxidation and reduction in the proposal-baking pattern. Baking was tried by various glazes. Consequently, the color on the surface of pottery obtained the result the same as the forecast.
2. Evaluation of color The color was evaluated by a colorimeter. Moreover, an engineer also evaluated the color.
3. Observation of surface of pottery The observation of the surface of pottery observed the surface of the test pieces with the multi focus microscope.
