Research Abstract |
We researched non-profit organizations (NPO) of/for people with diseases and/or disabilities, especially "Japan ALS Association" (ALS=Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis). And Tateiwa wrote "Struggle of Survival" No.11-14 on Gendai Shiso and a book "ALS" will be published i n 2004. And we put many information on WWW (http://www.arsvi.com/) about people, organizations, issues (in Japanese). There are debates about some critical issues e. g. "euthanasia" or "death with dignity". And there are no agreements on these issues. But we could see that existence of these organizations like Japan ALS Association has made survival of many people possible.
