I Studied on Basic of HEIANKYO'S Environmento and Religion from 2000 to 2001. On 2000, studied HEIANKYO'S Environmento and Religion. On 2001, studied the matter and specially put together my thoughts for Temple-Shrines. The Heian Period, : A period covering about four hundred years from the transfer of the capital to Heian (Kyoto) in 794 to the fall of the Heike (TAIRA Clan) in 1185. Japan which had been adherent to T'ang culture gradually digested foreign elements in this period and created what may be termed Japanese-style culture. Herein lies the main characteristic of arts of the Heian Period. With the spread of Esoteric Buddhism (MIKKYO) before the ninth century, its Chinese mode. They include many whth were imported from T'ang China. Now the KYOOUGOKOKU-JI Temple Sculpture, TOBATU-BISHAMON-TEN was imported from T'ang China. It is not YOSEGI-ZUKURI (Assembled wood-blocks), A method of wood statuary, in which the head and body of a sature are made of two or moreblocks, carved separately and then joined together (YOSEGI-ZUKURI : This technique appeared in its embryonic form during the Early HEIAN Period and was brought in the Mid HEIAN Period by the sculptor JOCHO) TOBATU-BISHAMON-TEN' Clothes was YOROI. YOROI, Also teemed KISENAGA, SHIRISEI YOROI and O-YOROI. THE most ornate, complete type of armour established in about the HEIAN Period. "NIONKIRYAKU" is the History Book of the HEIAN Period. Now remein "NIONKIRYAKU" is SASSHI-BON. SASSHI-BON, A booklet form of bookbinding, used since about the ninth century, consisting of sheets of paper folded in various shapes and bound by pasting or sewing the back parts together.
