Research Abstract |
I tried in this research to make the actual condition of the early modern Chinese sound clear by using materials related to Chinese colloquial literature. The early modem Chinese sound means the sound from the end of Tang(唐) and Wu-dai(五代) until the end of Qing(清), and the purpose of the study on phonology of the early modem Chinese is to make the sound system of these times clear. We early modem Chinese sound researcher have used the rhyme tables like "Yun-jing"韻鏡, "Qi-yin-lue"七音略, and rhyme books compiled in Yuan(元) dynasty like "Gu-jin Yun-hui Ju-yao"古今韻会拳要, "Zhong-yuan Yin-yun"中原音韻, and rhyme books compiled in Ming-Qing(明清) dynasties like "Yun-lue Hui-tong"韻略匯通, "Yun-iue Yi-tong"韻略易通 and so on which are reflecting the local sound at that time as the materials for the early modem Chinese sound research so far. But, I think it is insufficient to use these materials only to research the early modem Chinese sound. According to my opinion, in addition to these it is necessary to analyze and examine the Dunhuang(敦煌) literary materials such as bian-wen (変文), Song-ci(宋詞), Yuan-qu(元曲) and rhymings , yi-wen(異文) and bie-zi(別字) and so on which are seen in the colloquial novels or the narrative ballads (説唱文学) to research the early modem Chinese sound, too. In the 2000th year and 2001th year, I made the elementary investigation about what kind of materials being useful for research of the early modem Chinese sound are there in Chinese colloquial literature, and worked for the collection of the useful materials for its research. In the 2002th year, I precisely added analyses "San-gun-zhi Yan-yi"三国志演義, "San-guo-zhi Zhi-zhuan Ping-lin" 三国志志伝評林, "Jian-deng Xin-hua Ju-jie"剪灯新話句解, "Mai-jian JI"埋剣記, "Lie-guo Zhi"列国志, "Tang-shu Zhi-zhuan"唐書志伝, and "Ming-shi Tang-ci"明史弾詩 and so from phonological points of view, and made some features clear concerning the early modem Chinese sounds which were reflecting in these materials, and I am now preparing foe publication.
