Research Abstract |
1. Compilation and arrangements of Russia's input-output tables for 1995-1997 : First, I compiled 1998 input-output tables, which follow the input-output database for 1995-1997. Following this result, I am going to finalize an estimate of 1999 input-output tables. It should be noted that the production, consumption and distribution of natural gas in the 1998 input-output tables and their supplementary tables were markedly improved thanks to Gazprom's data supply. 2. Compilation and Estimations of Uzbekistan's input-output tables for 1997-1998 : Following the 1997 input-output tables (supply and use tables), I completed the compilation of 1998 input-output tables. The 1998 system include a trade margin matrix, an import matrix, a transportation matrix and a net tax matrix. The 1998 input-output tables were compiled at both basic and purchasers' prices while the 1997 tables were compiled only at purchasers' prices. 3. An analysis employing trade margin matrixes : Improving the analysis based on the 1997 trade margin matrix, I further developed the analysis by using the 1998 trade margin matrix. Since Russia met a financial crisis in 1998, the relationship between the crisis and the trade margins. 4. A comparative analysis on input-output tables in Russia and Uzbekistan : I made a comparative analysis on the backgrounds of input-output tables in Russia and Uzbekistan. Russia's system has a drawback in missing the use table while Uzbekistan's table suffers from inconsistencies between GDP data and input-output data. A paper including these results were submitted to the AAASS national convention in Washington DC.
