Research Abstract |
Peroxisomes have been stained by expressing a fusion protein of green fluorescent protein with a targeting signal in its C-terminus (GFP-SKL), introduced to cultured cells by trasfection procedure and to mice by making a trasgenic mouse. The object of the study is to elucidate the mechanism of morphogenesis, with these cells and transgenic mouse as materials. The present study was attempted to show the appearance of peroxisomes during cell division, embryonic development and by the administration of peroxisome proliferators. A tansgenic mouse expressing. GFP-SKL has been developed and biochemical and morphological analyses are on the way. Morphological analyses in cultured cells expressing GFP-SKL have been analyzed and on the way of publication. Related subjects on peroxisomes have been published.
