Research Abstract |
We compared integrins expression of bladder cancers to those of their lymphnode metastasis in animal model, in order to clarify the role of integrins in the lymphnode metastasis of bladder cancer. The animal model of lymphnode metastsis was created by means of foot pad implantation method using human bladder cell lines, UM-UC-3 and UM-UC-13, and each integrin subunit was detected immuno-tissue stain (tissue ABC method and tissue fluorescent method) using monoclonal antibody against each integrin subunit. We found no difference in integrin expression between primary foot pad lesion and lymphnode metastasis. In addition, highly metastatic cells was not created from UM-UC-3 and UM-UC-13. We also tried to create highly metastatic cells from bladder implantation using UM-UC-3 and UM-UC-13, however, no lymphnode metastasis was found from bladder implantation. In conclusion, other tumor cell lines should be used in the same experimental model, or clinical speciemens should be investigated, in the future.
