Outline of Annual Research Achievements

最近、ウェアラブルコンピュータやフレキシブルデバイス技術に注目が集まっており、金属配線には伸縮特性が求められるようになってきた。当該研究者は、金属粒子とゴム材料の複合材料で7倍伸ばしても通電可能な伸縮性導体を過去に開発した。本研究は、「耐環境性を有する伸縮性導体の開発」を目標とし、柔軟な接続材料の実用化に向けて非常に重要なテーマとなる。昨年度までは、耐劣化防止剤を微量添加することで、高温高湿(85度、85パーセント)放置下で、従来では困難だった700時間の安定した電気特性をもつ伸縮性導体を得た。一方、伸縮性導体の微細化にむけて、金属ナノ材料の化学合成および印刷形成に取り組んだ。その結果、高導電性配線を形成する銀ナノワイヤ材料を開発し、レーザー転写法により銀ナノワイヤ微細配線パターニング手法の確立を行った。
3年目には、年次計画通り、微細配線の電気的特性と機械的特性の向上を狙った。レーザー転写印刷で作製した配線の評価を行った。その結果、従来の印刷技術では為し得なかった転写、パターニング、焼結の3つが同時に実現可能となった。作製した200μm幅の微細な伸縮性配線は、無ひずみ時に低い体積抵抗率を有しながら、2倍伸長時でも一定の抵抗値を維持する優れた安定性を示した。さらに、銀ナノワイヤの開発を進め、従来の直径より2倍から4倍太いワイヤを採取可能な化学合成法を開発した。太い銀ナノワイヤは、ワイヤ1本ごとの外力に対する耐性、電流密度の減少、熱容量の向上が見込めるため、耐環境性を向上させる配線材料としても期待できる。その新規ワイヤを用いて、布上に抵抗値変化型センサを開発した。
よって、当該研究者は、耐環境性を備える伸縮性導体の開発に取りくむなかで、樹脂材料の調整による耐環境性の向上、新規金属ナノ材料の開発やパターニング手法による微細化手法の確立を行った。
