Outline of Annual Research Achievements

Be/X線連星の研究については、本年度は特にガンマ線連星における相互作用の性質とコンパクト天体の正体の追及を行った。ガンマ線連は大質量星と正体不明のコンパクト天体から構成され、伴星はBe星のものもあり、Be/X線連星の研究ともつながりが深い。
特に、HESS J0632+057について、遠星点後から近星点直後までの半周期分をカバーする高分散分光・測光偏光モニタリングに成功した。各輝線や測光値の変動の差とその放射領域を比較し、コンパクト天体の正体はパルサー風を持つ中性子星である可能性が非常に高いことを発見した。本結果については国内外の学会で発表した他、論文に投稿した(2015年4月3日に受理)。
また、中性子星との相互作用が、Be星ガス円盤のどの領域にまで影響しているかを調べ、Be星ガス円盤を歪ませている原因について制限を与えるために、Be/X線連星A0535+262の近星点通過時を中心にHIDESを用いてモニター観測を行った。現在観測結果を解析中である。
可視赤外線観測装置の開発に置いては広島大学宇宙科学センターが開発しているHONIRに偏光機能の搭載準備を進め、試験観測を行った。特に、本研究院は、各素子が安定して動くかの試験の他、光学系全体のケラレの調査や装置と望遠鏡の取り付け位置のずれ量の調査を行った。偏光素子を動かすモーターがノイズ源になる問題が発生したので、配線の工夫も行った。一方で科学観測も行った(上記の投稿論文にはHONIRの結果も含まれる)。その他、同じくセンターが運用しているHOWPolと呼ばれる装置のオートガイダーの最終的な調整作業を行い、実用化を行った。
その他、広島大学の観測当番にも参加し、週2、3回の頻度で観測を行った。
