き裂系における地殻流体の流動ダイナミクスに関する研究

Research Abstract

本年度は, まずフィールドスケールの単一き裂の間隙構造および流体流動の特性が封圧・せん断変位・寸法の各パラメーターにともないどのように変化するかを評価し, 平均開口幅とき裂浸透率に関して定式化することに成功した. この成果を踏まえ, き裂型貯留層(勇払油ガス田)の精密なモデルを構築し, 貯留層内の三次元チャネリングフロー(優先流路の形成)のモデル化を行った. 貯留層モデルの構築において, 臨界応力き裂(せん断変位の生じたき裂)に関して, せん断変位量とその寸法の間の比例関係を考慮したことが大きな特徴である. 一連の解析結果から「隣接する二坑井間の生産能力が三桁(1,000倍程度)異なる」という観測事実は, 「臨界応力き裂のせん断変位量はき裂寸法の約2%である」と仮定した際に再現できることが示唆された. さらに, 「天然環境にあるき裂が長期間において繰り返してせん断滑りを経験し, 総せん断滑り量が最終的にき裂寸法の2%程度になる」というモデル化は, 現実とさほど乖離していないことも考察された.
本研究では対象地域を勇払地域に限定しているが, 今回用いた解析手法を適用することで他地域のき裂ネットワーク内のチャネリングフローの振る舞いを予測することは十分に可能である. すなわち, 本研究は, 「(フィールドスケールにおいて)き裂系での三次元チャネリングフローのモデルリング手法および特性評価手法の確立に, 世界ではじめて成功した研究」と位置付けることができる. 本研究成果は今後, 工学技術(EGS, き裂型油ガス貯留層開発等)や環境技術(CCS, 放射性廃棄物の地層処分等)に大きく貢献すると期待される。
