Outline of Annual Research Achievements

空間二次元Lugiato-Lefever方程式(LL方程式）のスポット解の分岐について研究してきた．先行研究によれば安定と不安定とが共存し，安定な枝からホップ分岐，ホモクリニック分岐を生じる．これまでの研究で二モード間相互作用で非自明定常解からホップ分岐とホモクリニック分岐が発生しうることがわかった．しかし，安定な解からの発生を説明するには二モード間相互作用では不十分で，三つ以上のモード間相互作用の研究が必要だと考えられる．しかし問題点がいくつかある：LL方程式自体では三つのモードが同時に不安定化する分岐点は存在しないので，LL方程式の何らかの拡張系を提案する必要がある．三モード間相互作用を記述する方程式は二次の非線形項をもつ三変数ODEとなり，その解析と分類は大変困難である．このような問題点から，まず数理的に扱いやすいモデルケースを考察して理解を進めることが有効だろう．前述の分岐が起こりうるか調べる必要がある．そこでモデルとして散逸項を伴うCraikの方程式を調べた．これは，二次の非線形をもつ三変数ODEであり，ナビエ・ストークス方程式の厳密な特殊解を与える方程式として重要であるとともに様々な現象の三モード間相互作用の方程式としても現れる.保存系の方程式に散逸的な摂動が入っている点もLL方程式と共通している．詳細な数値計算により安定解からのホップ分岐とホモクリニック分岐が生じることがわかった．さらに三つの異なるカオスアトラクタが共存し，これらとホモクリニック分岐が密接な関連をもつことがわかった．また，保存則が壊れる境界において退化した分岐点が生じる．これらの結果は，国内外の学会で研究発表し，論文を投稿中・投稿準備中である．こうしたことは散逸項が小さいときLL方程式でも起こるはずであり，保存系と散逸系の関係を数理的に明らかにするという興味深い問題が提起され意義深いと言える．
