Outline of Annual Research Achievements

現在私は、"Pure Gravity Mediation (PGM)"と呼ばれる超対称性模型が有力だと考えている。PGMに関して、主に以下のような研究を行った。
(1)anomaly mediationの理論的検証
PGMにおいて、ゲージ粒子の超対称パートナーの質量はanomaly mediationと呼ばれる方法で自動的に生まれている。この生成方法が模型の基礎になっているので、anomaly mediationが正しいかをよく検証しておく必要が有る。一般的には、anomaly mediationは超共型補整場を導入した理論形式で導かれる。しかしながら、それを導入しない理論形式では矛盾が存在する可能性が指摘されていた。私は、経路積分の尺度を適切に考慮することでその矛盾がなくなることを示した。
(2)初期宇宙理論からの超対称性の破れのスケールに対する制限
PGMでは、スカラー粒子達の質量は電弱スケールの約1000倍とされている。ヒッグスも自然には同程度の質量を持つので、電弱スケールを得るためにはヒッグス質量を微調整する必要が有るという、甚だ不自然な状況にある。なぜ、スカラー粒子達の質量が電弱スケールと同程度でないのだろうか。スカラー粒子達の質量は超対称性の破れのスケールで決まっているので、なぜ超対称性の破れのスケールが大きいのだろうか、という疑問に答える必要がある。これに対し私は、超対称性の破れのスケールの大きさに対する宇宙論的制限を考察した。ある種のインフレーション模型においては、インフラトンがどうしても重力子の超対称パートナー(グラヴィティーノ)に崩壊してしまうことで、宇宙が暗黒物質だらけになってしまう。これを防ぐには、超対称性の破れのスケールが大きく、グラヴィティーノが重いために、崩壊が力学的に禁止されている必要がある。私は、このインフレーション模型が正しいとすれば超対称性の破れの大きさに下限が存在するので、ヒッグス質量の微調整をせざるをえない、という可能性を指摘した。
