Research Abstract

1994年から1996年にかけて誕生し、母体を汚染している有害物質の影響に関する研究に協力した乳児をそれぞれ2001年から2003年まで追跡調査した。この間6年のブランクがあり、連絡のつかない家庭も多かったが、全体として38組の母子の協力が得られた。
この子供たちのリンパ球亜集団の検査ではCD3+とCD4+の高い子と低い子がそれぞれ1名ずつ、CD8+の高い子が1名、CD16+の低い子が5名いたが、リンパ球亜集団の状態はおおむね良好であった。しかしアレルギーのある子が約30%、そしてアトピーの子が約10%もいた。
甲状腺ホルモン系の検査ではTSHの高い子が3名、T_3の高い子が3名、fT_3の高い子が8名いた以外はいずれも正常範囲であり、こちらもおおむね良好であった。
言語性IQ、動作性IQおよび全IQの平均値と標準偏差はそれぞれ、50.1±9.3、51.4±9.5および101.5±16.0であった。また、下位検査群指数の平均値と標準偏差は次のようであった。言語理解;39.7±8.9、知覚統合;42.0±8.8、注意記憶;19.1±5.2、処理速度;17.7±5.5。ここでは言語IQと動作IQの不均衡例の確立が高い傾向がみられたので、有害物質との関連性の視点から、さらに研究を進展させる必要がある。
葉緑素の多い栄養補助食品(青汁)によるダイオキシン類の体外排泄量を性と年齢をマッチングした摂取群と非摂取群について比較すると、青汁の摂取により1年後には1.42倍、2年後には1.11倍それぞれ排泄量が多かった。また、DDTでは摂取1年後には14.7倍、2年後でも1.7倍多く排泄された。HCBについては摂取群では排泄が促進されたが、非摂取群では逆に体内蓄積量が増加した。以上のような研究結果より、青汁は有害物質の体外への排泄を促進し、体内汚染レベルを改善する効果を有すると考えられた。
