Research Abstract

π共役系高分子であるポリアニリンおよびそのオリゴマーと遷移金属錯体との共役錯体合成において、不斉遷移金属錯体を用いることで、π共役系高分子およびオリゴマーの不斉構造を誘起させることに成功した。分光学的に不斉錯形成を明らかにするとともに、オリゴマーを用いることで錯体構造論を展開した。また、逆の不斉部位を有する錯体を用いることで、逆の不斉構造制御が見られ、π共役系分子鎖の不斉構造制御に関する一般的な方法論が確立された。
π共役鎖を電子的に制御、高機能化するため、ベンゾチアジアゾールやキノキサリンからなるアニリンユニットをアクセプターとし、アニリンユニットをドナーとし、両ユニットからなるレドックス活性なπ共役系有機分子を設計合成してきた。アニリンユニットに置換基を導入することで、それらのレドックス機能およびバンドギャップを制御した。
π共役系分子を次元的に規制・結合させれば、共役系が拡大または規制配列された共役系が得られると考えられる。ポルフィリン環状分子をscaffoldとしてπ共役鎖を導入し、次元的に規制配列したπ共役系を構築してきている。今回初めて、オリゴチオフェンをポルフィリンに三次元的に規制配列させた三次元共役系システムを合成した。
ポルフィリン以外のscaffoldとしてフラーレンC_<60>の部分骨格であるスマネンの合成に世界で初めて成功した。この合成法は短段階で、温和な反応条件のみを用いるもので、実用的にも高く位置づけられる。ボウル型構造変換に関する分光学的考察も行った。フラーレンを含めた炭素化学における鍵化合物になると考えられる。ベンジル位への官能基導入で、多くのπ共役炭素化合物が誘導されるものと期待される。
