Research Abstract |
In this study, a rational disposal system for an effective utilization of municipal solid waste (MSW) was considered from the experimental and analytical approaches. The following conclusions were obtained : 1)Evaluation of environmental impact and material costs for recycle geo-materials A fundamental idea was presented for estimating the environmental an material costs of recycle geo-materials by introducing the new methodology of life cycle assessments (LCA). Based on the fundamental idea, a rational financial estimating model was also presented including the environmental costs, and the model was applied to predict the construction material costs in future. The importance of newly structure of material recycling society was pointed out through the results of prediction, 2)Utilization of MSW as a mixed geo-material A geo-material which was made by burning the materials after mixing the MSW with clayey soils was newly developed. 3)Stabilization of heavy metal behaviours of MSW ground by inner water circulation The early stabilization of heavy metal behaviours of MSW ground in the shore of the sea by inner water circulation was clarified through some model tests and analytical considerations.
