| Research Abstract |
Considering the health policy of Japan, which is going to an aging society, we think that activities of the women in their society become the key. So, cur research group investigated what has happened in the spot of health care of Japan focusing on women and their life stage
The women in child rearing become in consciousness to their own body. From the result of our research, we have noticed that they have come to get medical in formations from their friends in the same life stage. Women create health culture during child rearing. And they continue being the centers of health management of their family, after child rearing finishes (Ohya & Hoshino)
Okita investigated about "Syukuben" which many of women believe and uses, folk medicine for its treatment. He concluded that they could get healing through the body image and the process of signification, which firmly influenced on human illness or health seeking behavior
Ueda proved that the health educations containing exercise improved the quality of a life of the women in the menopause
The medical specialist who understands the above women's health culture and can utilize their potential power socially may be a public health nurse (Namikawa, Hoshino)
