Research Abstract |
In this study, we tried to develop a new system which can detect very minute amount of endocrine disrupters in our environment based on a microarray technology. By subtracting cDNAs from dioxin treated rat ovarian granulosa cells from those from control cells, we developed a subtraction cDNA library where dioxin inducible genes are concentrated. We then identified dioxin inducible genes by nucleotide sequence analysis of all clones. By that way, we could develop a cDNA microarray on which only dioxin inducible genes are spotted. By the present study, a new sensitive method for detecting very low concentrations of dioxin has been developed.
