Respondents : Elderly in need of care under the long-term care insurance Number of Respondents: 344 Method: Face-to-face Interviews Research Period: April thru May, 2002 With regard to evaluation of service providers, we evaluated them in terms of service satisfaction, evaluation of care managers, service evaluation. As a whole, users evaluated them positively. Especially, almost 70% of service users were satisfied with care services provided by six types of service providers. There was little difference of service satisfaction among those providers. The result showed that service providers varied largely in some kinds of care services. In other words, some providers focused on providing some specific services. Regarding to evaluation of care managers, giving information to users, monitoring, and so forth, users indicated positive evaluation. On the other hand, users showed negative impact on the system of long-term care insurance itself, such as fees, number of services, and transportation services.
