Research Abstract |
The purpose of this study was to establish family typed system for supporting the development of the infants and toddlers with disabilities. The development support system which this family participates characterize is to make in for children families' power in home environment. This study is composed of the following studies. (A) Development to Play-Based Assessment of the infants and toddlers with disabilities. (B) A basic research of the family support system. (C) The construction of the family support of the children by the Movement Education. In Study I, we described the change of the family assessment in Individualized Family Service Plan of the United States concerning the intervention in the law of IDEA, and took a general view of the family assessment tool in the outline of the main family support model and the intervention at the early stage. with special needs. In this research, 170 parents with the handicapped child were investigated. And, we clarified the relation among various supports of parents and "Compatibility to bringing up a child" "Affirmative feeling to bringing up a child" and "Child-nurturing stress." In Study III, we verified the effectiveness of support by the Movement Education to Severe Motor and Intellectual Disabilities. The content examined support by the Movement Education to Severe Motor and Intellectual Disabilities. The content examined support by the family support program that centered on facilities from the aspect of "Development support to the child" and "Child-nurturing support to the guardian" through the analysis of early intervention program. In Study IV and V, we clarified the actuality of support systems to the child with special needs by teh Movement Education and Treatment using Play-Based assessment. Play-Based Assessment developed by this research is an assessment of 71 items related to child's sensory motor and communications. In addition, a concrete way to advance the point aimed at in support and support was shown about each item. The family can participate at each home and Play-Based Assessment developed by this research and the program based on it work. And, it was suggested that it be a new family support method of the direct relation to the infants and toddlers with disabilities. Less
